Over this past holiday season, Computer Frontiers Inc. gave each staff person $100 to give away those in need. All of the employees where touched by this opportunity to give, as well as the various recipients who received the donation. The heartwarming stories will be shared in hope that those who read and hear of the acts of kindness will be blessed by it too.
Please read below about an organization in Frederick, Maryland that Allison, CFI staff chose to give the money to.
I chose to give my $100 to Frederick Rescue Mission, an organization that offers assistance from emergency services to transitional shelters for the homeless and those with low income. Despite the bitter, cold weather in Maryland, I was touched by the warm hearts at “The Mission” when I met with the Director to present my donation, on behalf of Computer Frontiers Inc.

The Mission makes an effort to reach out to hundreds of families through various services and programs. This organization serves breakfast and lunch 365 days a year to those in need of food, and provides a grocery aisle of foods where families can grocery shop. Through this venture, over 150 families and individuals are served through the Mission’s Grocery Aisle on a consistent basis. The Mission also provides a clothing and furniture program and a men’s recovery program.
I chose to donate to this organization because their goal is beyond providing food, clothes, and shelter. This organization brings empowerment, sustainability, and hope to families and individuals throughout the community.
I met with Arnold Farlow, Executive Director of The Frederick Rescue Mission, and was pleased to meet the friendly and loving staff members. Overall, the leaders and directors of this organization have a passion for what they do and truly have a heart for the people they serve.
Furthermore, The Mission has long term projects and goals, like starting a women’s recovery program, maintaining the building, and obtaining resources for events and outreaches. Financially supporting this organization will allow The Mission to pursue their future plans to grow, and I know that the donations will positively impact families and their children’s future. In conclusion, it was a blessing to donate to this organization, for it is always better to give than to receive.
